Our first cut hay is coarse, which helps prevent common issues for guinea pigs’ teeth such as overgrowth and maloccluded teeth, by evenly wearing down their teeth. Second cut Timothy hay is softer than our first cut Timothy hay, it is packed full of sweet leafy greens that is perfect for most Guinea pig’s. This hay also wears down teeth but is softer than our first cut hay. Both options are suitable for your guinea pig. Nibble&Gnaw Timothy hay must be the main staple of a guinea pigs’ diet! If you are feeding it to your guinea pig for the first time then it should be introduced slowly to avoid any digestive issues. It is suitable for guinea pig’s over 3 weeks.
